Cost - FREE

There is no cost to join the Cadet Program, and uniforms, training, and most activities are provided at no charge. The program is funded primarily by the Government of Canada through the Department of National Defence, which covers training, uniforms, travel, and many operational expenses. The program is delivered in partnership with the Navy League of Canada, whose local branches — including the Navy League of Canada Charlottetown Branch — provide additional financial support through fundraising and community sponsorship. Cadets are expected to participate in a small number of fundraising activities each year to help support enhancements to the program that are not government-funded. While most opportunities are fully covered, some optional travel or special activities may require a small contribution from participating cadets.
